510 Story:

About 8 years ago I sent my wonderful husband Larry to racing school at Laguna Seca Raceway in Monterey, CA. He fell in love with racing immediately. We have always had a passion for cars. He bought the Datsun 510 stripped, wheels and a small motor only. He created this great race car out of it. He did all the work himself, roll cage, engine, flares,  paint etc. I'm so proud of him. He joined VARA (Vintage Auto Racing Assoc) got his racing license and raced for a year. I crewed, helped and learned. After a year I said I wanted to race too so he gave me the 510 and started building a Datsun 240 Z to race. I went to the University of Vara and got my racing license and started racing myself. I've raced in California, Nevada and Arizona. California Speedway (now Auto Club Speedway) and Laguna Seca are my favorite tracks. I won my first race in Las Vegas. In 2003 I was given the honor of being Vara's Woman Driver of the Year. Amazing, I was so surprised. I wear a hot pink race suit with a hot pink helmet that my hubbie painted for me. I wear this so I won't stand out. :) If anyone wants to find out about racing the website is VARAracing.com.  Her website:  http://aplusmobilenotary.net/
